Goodbye Old Friend

so long thanks fishTime To Move On....

Xojo is no longer my primary development tool, there, I've said it!

It's been on the cards for some time but it's very recently that I've come to the conclusion that enough is enough.  It is with a touch of sorrow that this decision has been taken but it's definitely the right one.  It's hard to write a post like this without it turning into a rant so I'm going to try not to!

The reality is the relationship with Xojo isn't productive for me anymore and I don't see that changing anytime soon.  Too few resources on too many platforms.

This year I have felt more like a hacker than a developer, battling to find workarounds to issues I really shouldn't be struggling with.  There definitely seems to be an 80/20 thing with Xojo going on - Xojo will get me 80% of the way there then the whole thing becomes a fight!  This feeling was brought home to me when playing around with a different language.  More of that in my next post!

There is so much more I could write but I don't want to end up with that rant.

So where does that leave me and Xojo?  Honestly, I don't know...  (anyone want a Pro license with a year remaining!)
